The objective of this module is to reduce the stigma associated with homelessness. This is achieved by exploring with your group the reasons why people become homeless, the types of homelessness that exist, the risks faced by rough sleepers and what the law says about homelessness.
This module is suitable to be presented to:
- A school assembly.
- Those following a school’s citizenship curriculum.
- Youth groups.
- Parenting groups.
- Uniformed groups, e.g. Scouts and Guides, and will help them to gain their homelessness award.
- The National Citizenship Service (NCS).
